Perpinyà

We spent the day at Perpignan, which is the Catalan capital in Southern France and belongs to the French only since 1659. It’s flair is mainly mediterranean with a  splash of arabic. You can enjoy a bottle of coke there at the Bar and Britz,  a venue on the Place de la Republique which is run by a former Rugby professional.

Off We Go

Today the last session of Nadine’s current set of chemotherapy ended, tomorrow we’re travelling to Southern France for a holiday. Yes: H-O-L-I-D-A-Y!. Back in December, I feared that this might never happen again, but now it does.

We take a plane fron Stuttgart to Barcelona and make our way up the mediterranian coast to the loveley little village of Fitou , which is located midway between Perpignan and Narbonne.  And which is close to Leucate. Or let’s say Leucate-Plage. Which means that there is a beach. Yes: B-E-A-C-H!
