Why This Site?

Some of you might not have known about Nadine’s cancer. That’s due to the fact that she is not very good at talking about her illness – even to family and friends. This is a burden to her, especially when it has to be done with each and every one individually. Nevertheless it is very important for her to keep her close ones informed.

To solve this dilemma and lift that burden off her shoulders, we came up with the idea of this blog. We’re trying to keep you up to date and inform you about any further development here. We will do that in English because Nadine spent some time in America and has a lot of friends who do not understand German. We are not forcing us under any rules and want to keep that project open: both of us have the opportunity to share whatever comes across our minds in every way that seems appropriate to us.

This doesn’t mean that you are not allowed to talk to us about Nadine’s illness personally. We just want to prevent a tidal wave of questions, phone calls, e-mails and stuff that have to be met individually. We need our time now, have to keep our calm and be there for each other.  But if you think that you have something to say that cannot be said in public or feel a strong urge for deeper information, please feel free to contact us directly.

This blog is accessible for everyone who knows its adress. But, as it is targeting family and friends only,  we discouraged all search engines. We tried to inform everybody, but maybe some friends or family members have slipped through our net. If you meet someone who doesn’t know and of whom you think he or she should, please spread the adress – we trust you to handle this correctly.

We also want to keep Nadine’s illness off from Facebook. We neither want to penetrate loosely connected people with private details nor do we want to read any wishes or comments there. If someone has something to say, this blog is the correct place.
