In a few minutes, we’re going to leave the house. It will take us another day and a journey via Amsterdam, Helsinki and Lappeenranta to leave civilisation behind for about ten days. Silence, nature and a lot af crystal clear water are waiting for us – like in the picture above which was taken at Kylämiemi back in 2013.

Quite a few people have requested regular updates about our journey, but I have to disappoint you: on Kyläniemi, there will be no access to the internet. But I promise to post some pictures as soon as possible when we’re back.

We might see the one or other neighbour there by occasion, but normally you don’t meet any people on that island you could speak to. So If we run out of topics between ourselves, we can only speak to the wild:
