I’ve been to the goodbye-room for three days in a row now. Today, I was the last one to close it’s door at 4 p.m. and I was also the last one who held her hand. It definitely needed to be like this. Later, her coffin will be sealed and stored away for burning at the beginning of next week. From now on, I will never see her beautiful face again and I must rely on photos and memories. I don’t know wether I can bear this or not.

Dear Jens,
Our hearts are breaking. We think every day of Nadine. Of her gift for friendship. Of the way her eyes lit up with a good story, a joke, a cup of coffee. And we’re holding you close, too, in this hard, hard work of grief and loss. Thank for these pictures, for bringing those who are far away closer. No words.
much love,
Natalie
