We made it to our destination without any problems – so we’re in Southern France now! On the first day, we went shopping for food, prepared the house our friend Ralph let us stay in and went to the beach in the afternoon sun. Very pleasant!

Off We Go
Today the last session of Nadine’s current set of chemotherapy ended, tomorrow we’re travelling to Southern France for a holiday. Yes: H-O-L-I-D-A-Y!. Back in December, I feared that this might never happen again, but now it does.
We take a plane fron Stuttgart to Barcelona and make our way up the mediterranian coast to the loveley little village of Fitou , which is located midway between Perpignan and Narbonne. And which is close to Leucate. Or let’s say Leucate-Plage. Which means that there is a beach. Yes: B-E-A-C-H!
Fear Good Movies
This afternoon we’ve been to the cinema for the first time since Nadine left hospital. It went very well, we were sturdy enough to watch two movies at the Fantasy Film Fest Nights in a row.
‘What We Become’ is the supposedly first Danish zombie movie in history and ‘The Lobster’ is a great piece of British humour. It is set in a society where singles are brought to a hotel and given 45 days to find a new partner. If they don’t manage to do so, they will be transformed into the animal of their choice. Ant there is a counter-society too, living in the woods like the book people of Truffaut’s Fahrenheit 451 that turns out to be not much better. If you ever come across that one: watch it!
