After a few more or less quiet days Nadine’s family visited us today. The youngest member showed no shyness and sang her his current favourite “At the Christmas bakery”:
Behind Closed Doors
Nadine is back in the Katharinenhospital where she got her second application of Depocyt today. This is always happening behind closed doors – even though I wouldn’t have chosen a picture with a cat and a goldfish to keep unwanted spectators on the outside. But everything went well nevertheless so this flaw of style might be forgiven…
According to the original schedule she has to stay a second night in hospital until tomorrow and will be released for Christmas then. Unfortunately, the diarrhea she returned home with from her last stay in hospital has turned into the contrary. The hospital staff are already working on this issue but she maybe needs to remain stationary for a further night until Friday.
Working On Numbness
Today, Nadine’s old friends Paul and Julie stopped by for another visit before they return home to Colorado towards the end of the year. Julie, who is a dancer with an expertise in Alexander Technique, did Nadine a little favour and taught her how to improve her lower half. In the picture, you can see Paul watching Julie working on Nadine’s numb feet.
Nadine and I got used to our new situation and managed to establish some routines now. After being educated by a caretaker a few times I’m able to do most of the necessary things by myself now.
Tomorrow, we have to call the hospital and ask wether the next round of Depocyt can take place on Wednesday. If yes, Nadine will go stationary again from Tuesday to Thursday but will be released just in time before Christmas.
