Nadine and me are enjoying a sunny and relaxed Sunday in Barcelona: after having breakfast at or favourite restaurant Vegetalia we went to the beach and for a quick stroll around the university quaters. Now we’re at home recharging batteries for an evening out with an Indian dish and a documentary about Janis Joplin. Life can be so good!
Next Stop Barcelona
Today, we’re going to leave for Barcelona. This means a two or three hour drive to the airport where we return our rented car. We take a bus to the city center then, go for a meal and check in with our hosts in the evening.
Later on, we visit a record release party with three local acts at the Sala Apolo. Good thing is that all the bands are strictly scheduled and that they always keep to the plan. And that there are enough seats in the back of the venue, so that Nadine doesn’t have to stand all the time. There will be brief support shows by Me And The Bees plus Les Sueques before Da Souza present their new record Gran Salt Endavant.
Allez Les Catalans!
I almost can’t remember Nadine being awake after 11 pm. Yesterday she was, because the rugby match between USA Perpignan and Albi had a late kick-off. We went there and witnessed a tight 18:13 win for the home site, who thereby managed to keep their hopes for repromotion to the French Top 14 alive. This time, we were not standing in the Pesage with the most dedicated USAP supporters but bought ourselves some seats instead.
